Your Hosts - Jack & Gillian Cooper
Jack and Gillian are locals, with Jack, predominately from a farming background born and bred in the area, while Gillian, formerly a teacher, has been here for over 35 years. Since their three children grew up and well and truly flew the coup, Jack and Gillian have relished running Esplanade Hotel and showing visitors to Gore some true ‘Southern hospitality’.
Gillian describes their discussion to purchase the motel in late 2011 as a privilege and acknowledges the great initial work that Ivan and Rena put into the business, building it from scratch and having many loyal customers.
Jack and Gillian believe in providing a high standard of service and updating facilities for their visitors. They’ve installed flat-screen TVs in all units, updated curtains, and linen, replaced beds, put in disability facilities, and made additional upgrades. Jack and Gillian try to provide their guests with quality accommodation, and a relaxing and enjoyable stay. If you have any questions or would like advice on things to do in and around Gore, just ask.
